I am trying to imagine relying on the Haynes alone for this tasking.

Well as it happens, the Haynes manual on t9 boxes, is VERY VERY VERY good.

It is OK but doesnt quite tell me, Mister Thicko how to get it apart.

I am why the gearbox guys charge £250 plus parts huh

I also have a Haynes sierra manual. Paper, not pdf.

This Bill. It gives a very clear description pictures and text on taking it apart.

I don't know what model. Maybe Sierra or maybe Capri.

I just downloaded a pdf and printed it out.

Cheers Anam, it does look different to my Sierra book.

I never know which designation the gearbox is and which letter type they're on about

I've just had to complain that the bearing supplier sent the wrong ones too

There's no circlip groove on the outer race, still I'm well along cleaning the innards for examination prior to reassembly.
